NEW items in the shop- All proceeds go to The Pantry for Thanksgiving

The Giving Keys is an amazing organization that gives back to the community by employing homeless people who need another chance at life.  (I learned about this amazing company from my youth leader at church!)  At the same time, you buy/donate and receive a key with a word on it.  You keep the key until you find someone who needs the encouragement of the word or you feel like this person is the word.  The point is to share the love and meaning of the word with someone who needs it.

Reading the inspiring stories made me start thinking of getting one of my own.  Then I began to think about making them myself and sharing with my friends and family.  I made a few, one for me (fearless), one for my sister (love) and one for my Grandma (fearless).  I also made two bracelets for my mom (faith) and (love).  Now I want to make them for you to share!  

I also started thinking about how I can help out?  What can I do to help my community?  I thought about the things that I like...I love animals and decided to donate to the animal shelter. 

My mom recently got an email from The Pantry which is a food bank here in Douglas County.  There is not much time left until Thanksgiving and for $10,000 they can help feed 200 families Thanksgiving dinner!  That is just $5 dollars a family.  I would like to set a goal to be able to help feed 10 families and hopefully more!  You can help by purchasing a necklace or bracelet...all profits from now until Thanksgiving are going to The Pantry!  I would love to be able to donate as much OR MORE than the first time!



Update 8/26/14 **All of the profits I have made so far ($172.74) have been delivered to the Douglas County Animal Shelter!  I was super excited to drop off all of the money to the shelter and it felt really great ending the summer helping out animals which I love! They were so grateful and I know the animals will benefit from your purchases! **

Update 10/16/14**I donated All of the recent profits ($134.00) to The Pantry today!  That means that is almost 27 families that will have Thanksgiving dinner! There is still time to place orders and help more people have a wonderful Thanksgiving!**
