Missions and Hope

This past summer I had the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti with my church.    Both of my parents have been going for about six years now, so I thought that I was prepared for everything that came before me.  I was completely mistaken.  When you walk out of the airport, and hop into the back of a Tap-Tap, and ride down the streets of Haiti, you are overcome with a sense of hopelessness.  Trying to push that sense of hopelessness out of mind, I focused on the week’s worth of tasks ahead of me.  The organization my church works with, HOM (Haiti Outreach Ministries), gives us a project for the week.  We had two projects we were able to work on throughout the week.  We were going to be building a foundation for an extension of their Church at their Terre Noire (Port-Au-Prince) location (also where we were staying), and sanding/painting a high school.  We had enough people to split into two teams, the digging and painting teams.  I chose to be on the digging team, which was hard at first because I was the only girl who chose digging while all the other girls chose to paint.  But as the week went on it became so much fun getting to know some of the guys in my youth group at church I would otherwise have not known as well.  As the week went on we made a connection with the children and adults around us that on the last night we were there we had a cry night because of how much we were truly going to be missing this wonderful place and how we didn’t want to wait a whole year to come back.  With that being said, God has given me another amazing opportunity to go back!!  I am overwhelmed with joy and cannot stop thinking about going back to my favorite place with some of my favorite people in the entire world!!!  However, the cost to go is quite expensive, which is why I will be taking orders for keys and bracelets to help pay for my trip to Haiti in 2019!!! All of the profits from the sales go directly to pay for my trip.  I cannot wait to see what God has planned for me in Haiti and I cannot wait to go back!!
Thank you, Ansley

Short term mission plans have changed!!!!!

Helllloooo everybody!!!!!  I have some very big news to share with you!!!

My short term mission plans have changed!!

In the summer of 2018 my dad and I will being going to Haiti on a mission trip with our church!
We are going to help by painting some parts of the new building for the high school.  There will eventually be 6 buildings and they are currently building the second building.
The church at Terre Noire is the original church that Haiti Outreach Ministries started is in need of some repairs which we will also work on.
Please go and check out HOM, they have amazing things planned for the people of Haiti and God's kingdom!

I am still selling keys and all the proceeds will be used to pay for trip funds for my dad and I.  We are both very excited to have this opportunity to spread the word of God by helping those less fortunate than ourselves with our church family.

In the season of giving my church had a sermon series on gratitude.  I was given the pleasure and honor of filming a video about Kate's Keys that was shown during service.  Please go check it out.

Happy Christmas and Happy 2018!

Love, Ansley Kate

Kate's Keys- All profits go to a new adventure!

We are going to Guatemala!

But only with your help!

My family, my mom, dad, sister and I, would love to head to Guatemala with Casas Por Cristo.  They are a short term mission trip who builds homes for deserving people in Mexico, Guatemala and Dominic Republic.

We would love to be able to make it to Guatemala in 2018.  We are saving and trying to raise money so that we can be a part of something amazing and give back.  My sister and I have not been on a mission trip and we can go on this one.

I am helping to raise money by selling necklaces, bracelets, and fun personalized stamped keys and charms.  I will hopefully have some surprise merchandise that is donated to my cause.  Be sure to stay on the look out for these items.  ALL profits are going towards the mission trip and I will be sure to keep you updated!

You can reach me at rockinghorse9@att.net or my mom at mcordle3@bellsouth.net. I can customize most anything for you, so get creative and we'll work together to make it happen!

Please let me know if you have any questions!!
